The Islands of Greece

THE ISLANDS OF GREECE

Greece has 89 inhabited islands with permanent population. Two of them are located in lakes.

There are twice as many, uninhabited ones, and a dozen or so private (inhabited or uninhabited). Among those some are national parks , historical or archaeological sites (Delos is the most visited) and one is even obsidian …quarry!!

They are scattered in the Ionian Sea (Western Greece) or in the Aegean Archipelago. Some are very close the mainland. In any case for those who want to visit all of them (as I did) , this is the list.

(No, I have not been invited in Scorpios “the Onassis’ island” yet!)
